The task at hand was to define a Go-To-Market Strategy for Enterprise digital security solutions to enhance Sales in a specific location of a subsidiary of the company. Being a fresher, I was both nervous and excited about my first day of work and had imagined the day several times in my head.

I was pleasantly surprised as from day one, I was given complete ownership of my project. I had the freedom to ideate & co-create strategies for its implementation with the sales team. The consistent mentorship & feedback received from my manager helped me gain understanding about the world of B2B sales & key accounts. The work culture fostered an environment for learning, experimenting & the senior leadership was always approachable. Diverse exposure & a platform to create & test strategies coupled with supportive mentors made my summer intern experience invaluable & insightful, thus fueling my self-belief & helping me deliver beyond expectations.

I have the following key takeaways:

I) Don’t expect to know the answers immediately from the start. Adopt a mindset to learn & grow.

II) Seek help if you feel stuck.
